Description

Fills the table ACTIVEPROMOPRODUCTS to prepare the data for the ProductPromotionDataProvider, which is used by the Solr Index Build.

This is currently only relevant for the Responsive Starter Store (RSS) and the "Show eligible items" feature for promotions. Using the Solr index, you can list all affected products of a promotion. The data is not provided via REST and is therefore not available to REST-based clients (e.g., PWA).

As of ICM 14.6.0, the job is deactivated by default.

Activate it only for the Responsive Starter Store when using the Solr index and promotions. Otherwise, deactivate the job.

Scheduling

What Happens Switched Off

The result of a search index generation will be incomplete. Products cannot be found when a promotion UUID is used as search filter.

Trouble Shooting

Comments

The job compiles the products for a promotion, so these products can be found by a product search with the UUID of the promotion as a search filter.
This allows to find all products eligible for a specific promotion.
